While at Storybook Learning Center, your child will receive quality personal and individualized care. Our programs are designed to give your child the opportunity to gain practice in language skills, fine motor skills, self help skills, as well as a variety of learning experiences. Our goal is to meet all of your child’s social, emotional, physical and language needs.

Children in our infant program receive lots of one on one attention. We spend lots of time cuddling, holding and playing. A separate infant/toddler play area is fully fenced with equipment specifically designed for this age bracket. Our infant room is separate from the toddlers and designed to make your child’s first transition to their next classroom a smooth and pleasant one. The toddler area follow a group schedule where the teacher plan and implement activities in the area of art, language and stories, gross and fine motor skills and music and movement. One unique feature of our program is a daily report that not only provide a summary of your child’s day, but the reports have ample room for you to indicate specific needs of the child daily.

Overview – Literacy Aligned to research-based best practices, the sound and letter lessons in PreK On My Way: Literacy are designed to visit each letter multiple times, building alphabet knowledge and phonological awareness—key predictors of future literacy.

Alphabet Knowledge: Throughout the year each letter of the alphabet is explored multiple times. Activities include a focus on letter name, letter sound, letter sound in spoken words, letter in written words, and letter formation. In alignment with current research, phonemic awareness is integrated into every alphabet lesson.

Early Phonological Awareness: Children discover the sounds of the English language through activities with rhyme, alliteration, compound words, initial sounds, ending sounds, and onset and rime. The program integrates direct application of these phonological awareness skills, including systematic phonemic awareness practice.
